Carapelli has been crafting high-quality extra virgin olive oils for 130 years. Our oil honors our rich Italian heritage and holds deep respect for the journey of the individual olives whose essence is vital to the unique blend contained in each and every Carapelli bottle.
Carapelli’s ambition to protect a future legacy of the industry in harmony with nature and people is deeply rooted in parent company Deoleo’s sustainability vision: Caring for What Cares for You. This ambition is underpinned by a commitment that runs deep in our culture of origin and is realized in our actions. Actions that strive to ensure the highest quality olive oil while preserving the longevity of farming for future generations.
The 3 pillars of Deoleo’s sustainable responsibility: Growing Together, Blending with Love, and Caring for You permeate every touchpoint of Carapelli, connecting us with the communities who breathe life into our brand as well as the consumers who have made our extra virgin olive oil a kitchen staple.
Growing Together guides our management philosophy and profound belief that we must take care of our farmers and suppliers, integrating quality of care at every step of collaborative production. Our responsibility starts in the olive grove, where we work with farmers to develop sustainable practices and secure a supply chain that guarantees the future success of the industry whilst simultaneously protecting nature.
Century-old olive groves, rich in history, are the basis for creating this unique Italian oil. Its golden-green color and fruity taste are crafted through the painstaking selection of high-quality olives. Carapelli Original Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from a sustainable blend of “cold pressed” extra virgin olive oil made of a selection of high-quality olives. The process for crafting this sustainable Extra Virgin olive oil has been passed down from generation to generation to enrich your everyday cooking.
Blending with Love is an integral part of our pursuit to elevate standards and meticulously incorporate integrity at every step of the olive oil value chain. Leading the world’s quality standards in terms of olive oil production carries with it the responsibility to continually green our operations and increase the transparency of our processes. As such, we place immense value on reducing our environmental footprint across the entirety of our operations. Some of the milestones we achieved in 2022 include ensuring 100% of the electric energy purchased for our factory in Italy was from renewable sources and proudly achieving a Zero Waste Certification for our facility.
For us, sustainability is more than a response to consumer demand. It represents a far-reaching vision for the planet that is at the core of our DNA. It is a commitment that requires consistent and aligned action. Action in what we do, how we behave and what we believe the world deserves.
Our extra virgin olive oils have earned a place on the tables and in the hearts of consumers around the world thanks to this great care. We hold this privilege in high respect and believe it is our responsibility to hold these three pillars of sustainable responsibility true to deliver a rewarding future; one where we not only deliver against our responsibilities but pursue new promises that move us forward to a more sustainable tomorrow.
Transparency and traceability are fundamental principles of Carapelli’s sustainability approach. The privilege to be welcomed into the kitchens and hearts of our consumers is an honor that carries much weight for us. Therefore, we have made a commitment to ensure that Carapelli bottles are produced and distributed in a transparent and traceable manner – one in which consumers are provided with the detailed and verifiable story of its journey from groves to table.
